Beginning in summer 2025, Amalfi will take an important step toward becoming more inclusive. Thanks to a project dedicated totourist accessibility, a part of the famous “Marina Spiaggia” beach (west side) will be equipped and reserved for people with disabilities or motor difficulties to experience the sea in full freedom and serenity.
An area designed with care and attention
From June to October, visitors in need will be able to enjoy a comfortable and well-equipped space designed to make it easier to access and stay on the beach.
The area will be equipped with:
- Floating chairs (to facilitate safe entry into the water),
- A Job chair, ideal for transportation on sand,
- A walkway to comfortably reach sunbeds and umbrellas,
- Relaxation stations with 6 loungers, 6 umbrellas and director’s chairs.
Free reception and dedicated staff
Making this project even more special will be the presence of qualified operators ready to welcome and support each guest. Assistance will be completely free of charge and entrusted to the L’Alveare Social Cooperative, which will also provide orientation and organize access.
A concrete commitment to tourism that excludes no one
With this initiative, Amalfi renews its commitment to accessible tourism that is sensitive to the needs of all. For those who love to travel, explore, and relax by the sea, knowing they can count on a fully equipped and inclusive place makes all the difference.
Whether it’s a family vacation, a stay with friends or a personal break, starting this summer Amalfi will be even more welcoming to everyone.
