Summer 2026 in Amalfi officially kicks off with a special event marking an important milestone for the city: the unveiling of the redevelopment project for Piazza Municipio, one of the community’s most iconic and vibrant public spaces.
Now that the renovation work is complete, the square has a new look, ready to once again become the beating heart of city life and the stage for the summer’s major events. A place for gathering, sharing, and socializing that has been revitalized in the spirit of beauty and hospitality, offering residents and visitors a space designed to experience Amalfi’s culture, music, and traditions together.
To celebrate this important milestone, the City Administration has organized an opening night that combines the joy of togetherness with the power of music. The event will feature a tasting of traditional treats from Pasticceria Pansa, offering a chance to savor the authentic flavors of the Amalfi Coast and share a moment of celebration with the community.
Next, the audience will embark on an exciting musical journey with “Napoli Eterna, “ a show that captures the truest essence of Neapolitan culture through a refined and contemporary musical style.

More than just a concert, “Napoli Eterna” is a musical narrative that spans centuries of history, cultures, and cultural influences. The show weaves together folk, classical, and contemporary music in a musical journey that traces the Arab, Spanish, and French influences that have helped shape Naples’ cultural identity.
Tradition and innovation interact in perfect harmony, giving rise to a performance that honors its roots while also embracing a contemporary vision capable of resonating with audiences of all ages.
This captivating journey will be brought to life by the extraordinary voice of Gabriella Di Capua, accompanied by Pietro Intotaro on keyboards, Marco Mariano on percussion, and Salvatore Iembo on live electronics. An ensemble capable of creating intense and captivating atmospheres, where traditional sounds meet new forms of expression.
A New Plaza for a New Season
The redevelopment of Piazza Municipio is much more than just an urban project: it is an investment in the city’s future, a space returned to the community and designed to host events, gatherings, and opportunities for social interaction throughout the year.
This square will be the starting point for the packed schedule of the Amalfi Summer Fest 2026will kick off from this square, offering residents and visitors concerts, performances, theater, and cultural events through September.
The inauguration of the new Piazza Municipio is therefore intended not only as the unveiling of a renovated space, but also as the symbolic beginning of a season full of excitement, in which Amalfi continues to express its identity through culture, music, and hospitality.
An initiative promoted by the City Administration, led by Mayor Daniele Milano, and coordinated bythe non-council member in charge of Culture and Cultural Heritage, Events and Traditions, Enza Cobalto, who has created a program that showcases Amalfi through music, entertainment, and its traditions, offering residents and visitors a summer full of opportunities to meet, share, and discover the local area.
The event will take place on Thursday, July 16, at 8:30 p.m. in Piazza Municipio, where we’ll come together to enjoy an evening that celebrates the past, looks to the future, and officially kicks off the 2026 Summer Season in Amalfi.
