Sustainability Weekend 2025 in Amalfi: one sea, one town, one community united for the environment

Three days to rediscover the value of “caring.”
From the historic center to the sea, Amalfi experienced a weekend of sustainability, sharing and respect for the land and the environment.

Day 1 – Clean Up Day

The first event featured volunteers, citizens and young Scouts, engaged in Clean Up Day: a day dedicated to cleaning the historic center of Amalfi.
Among alleys, squares and iconic sights, dozens of hands joined hands to restore beauty and decorum to the city. A simple but powerful gesture that turned love for Amalfi into concrete action.

Day 2 – Youth and awareness

The second day involved high school students together with experts in the beautiful setting of the Arsenal.
The day began right in the ancient Arsenal of the Republic, with a time for reflection and discussion, and on the importance of small daily choices.

Then, all together, boys and girls participated in a new Clean Up activity, contributing with enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility, while Archaeoclub volunteers dived in for a first do of Cleaning the Seabed.
A clear message: sustainability starts with young people and grows by example.

Day 3 – Clean Backdrops

The weekend concluded with the Fondali Puliti (Clean Seabed) initiative, which featured divers and volunteers engaged in collecting trash from the Amalfi Sea.
A symbolic and concrete gesture to give the sea back its purity, to thank it for its beauty, and to remind us that protecting the environment is everyone’s commitment, every day.

A weekend that leaves its mark

Three intense days, full of excitement and participation.
A project that unites generations and tells of an Amalfi that is increasingly focused on sustainability, collaboration and respect for its natural and cultural heritage.

Because the future of Amalfi-and every place we love-also depends on the gestures of today.
