His artistic journey takes an international turn with the single “This Is What You Are,” which was launched on European radio stations thanks to his meeting with the famous BBC1 DJ Norman Jay. Since then, Biondi’s career has been a succession of successes: the first album Handful of Soul in 2006, the double album with the Duke Orchestra(I Love You More and If) that went triple platinum, sold-out concerts all over the world, and participation in the most prestigious European and Italian jazz festivals.
With his unique, warm and deep vocal timbre, Mario Biondi has blended the American soul tradition with Italian influences from the 1960s and Brazilian bossa nova, creating an elegant and unmistakable style. His new project, Crooning Undercover, has conquered more than 100 stages between Italy and 22 countries around the world, confirming him as one of the most internationally beloved crooners.
