On Friday, Jan. 2, the city comes alive with the New Year’s Folk Amalfitan, an afternoon dedicated to the colors, sounds and steps that tell the soul of our area.
From 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., the O’ Marenariello Folk Group will set off from Cardinal Marino del Giudice Street, bringing music and joy to Cathedral Square, where they will perform amid applause and a festive atmosphere.
Following this, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., it will be the Atrani Folk Group that will fill the streets of Amalfi with an engaging parade that will again culminate in Piazza Duomo, transforming it into a small open-air theater.
An afternoon combining community, tradition and wonder-the best way to greet the New Year together.
