InCanti d’Autore Music Review – Concert by the Daltrocanto Company “Tales under the tree – About Christmas and other stories”
The music and storytelling will take the audience on an exciting journey through the stories, myths and legends of Southern Italy,told through the encounter of traditional instruments such as bagpipes, beating guitar, frame drums and the modern sounds of violin, guitar, bass and drums.
A journey through songs and short stories: from the shepherd boy Benino to the myths of Henry and Palinuro, from lullabies dedicated to migrants to the memories of 1950s emigrants, to the more intimate suggestions of Christmas. An interweaving of life, love, ideals and traditions in a continuous dialogue between the sacred and the profane. Con Antonio Giordano a zampogne, chitarra battente e voce; Bruno Mauro alle chitarre; Flavio Giordano al basso; Mario Villani alla batteria; Osvaldo Costabile al violino; Luca Lanzara a mandola, tamburi a cornice; Imma Barbarulo alla voce; Stefania Chillemi e Valerio Truono per le danze e Manuel Mascolo come voce narrante.
