It was officially unveiled yesterday, in the prestigious setting of the <\/span>Hall of Presidents of CONI in Rome<\/span>, <\/span>the program of the 70th edition of the Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republics<\/span><\/strong>. An event that deeply unites citizens and tourists, united by a passion for tradition and sport. A way to celebrate the connection between <\/span>sports, tradition and cultural identity<\/span><\/em> of the four City States: <\/span>Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa and Venice.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"During the presentation press conference, the value and strong identity appeal of the event was highlighted. La <\/span>Regatta<\/span>, with its <\/span>historical procession<\/span><\/strong> in period costumes, is much more than a race: it is a tribute to memory and the seafaring spirit that unites past and present in one spectacular celebration.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We now reveal the long-awaited <\/span>program<\/span>, full of unmissable cultural events and moments of sharing. <\/span> <\/p>\n

It promises to be unforgettable days for citizens, visitors and fans.<\/span><\/p>\n

Below are all the details of the planned events<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

S<\/span>abatement May 17, 2025<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

5:45 p.m.<\/span><\/strong> |<\/span> Palio with the women’s crews<\/span><\/strong>, which will compete along the stretch of sea between <\/span>Marmorata<\/span> e <\/span>Atrani<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 p.m.<\/strong> |<\/span> at <\/span>Umberto I Square <\/span>at <\/span>Atrani<\/span>, presentation of the four men’s crews<\/strong> that will compete on May 18 on a two-thousand-meter course.<\/span><\/p>\n

Greeting the four Ancient<\/span> City States, there will be the close passage through the gulf of the school ship “Vespucci.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the ceremony, the awarding of the women’s crews<\/strong> will anticipate the departure of the great <\/span>Historical Procession of the Ancient Maritime Republics<\/span><\/strong> which at <\/span>7:30 p.m.<\/span><\/strong> will begin to parade on the SS163 with <\/span>departure from Atrani<\/span> e <\/span>arrival <\/span>(around 8:30 p.m.) <\/span>at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Amalfi<\/span>, with entrance from Piazza Duomo.<\/span><\/p>\n

At<\/strong><\/span> 23:45<\/strong> the always long-awaited <\/span>fireworks display<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Sunday, May 18, 2025<\/span> | <\/span>Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republics.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Departure<\/span> is scheduled at <\/span>12:30 p.m.<\/span><\/strong> from <\/span>Cape of Vettica<\/span>. The <\/span>finish line<\/span> will, instead, be placed in front of the <\/span>Marina Grande. <\/span>In between, a two-thousand-meter course characterized by a breathtaking panorama.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event will conclude at the <\/span>Piazzale Flavio Gioia<\/span> where the <\/span>award ceremony for the crews<\/span> at <\/span>13.15<\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Also this year the <\/strong><\/span>Rai<\/span><\/strong> will provide live TV coverage of the event<\/strong>, which will be aired on <\/span>Rai2<\/span>, by the <\/span>Tg2<\/span>, from <\/span>12 noon<\/span> at <\/span>12:50 p.m.<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
